Li'l Rip's Restaurant Reviews
http://ripsreviews.blogspot.com/Frankly, I have never been helped much by restaurant reviews. Either the reviewer is in the professional palate club, overly swayed by presentation, reputation, and Franz the marvelous matre' d, or is a "Country-style Reviewer" whose idea of a good meal is the Super sized Beltbuster at the local DQ. I guess I'm in the middle somewhere. I've also tried the local press' “Best Of” annuals, but they remind me of the Baseball All Star selection: popularity trumps performance. They are, in my view, worthless. So, I started writing reviews myself, to exorcise this demon of food commentary and at the same time, maybe, to help the hungry, wayfaring soul on a simple search for a good lunch, a pleasant dinner, or a cup of coffee, a book to read and a little quiet.
